The term "hind teat" is often used to describe a disadvantageous position as in, "He ended up sucking hind teat", in a competition of some kind.
When a litter of kittens or other mamals are born, they take nutrition from their mother's mamaries or "teats". Usually, the teat farthest from the front is less conveniently positioned and produces less milk. The stronger members of the litter compete for the better positions leaving the weakest of the litter to make due with less milk from the "hind teat".
