Gays and lesbians...?

do you think feminism doesn't put enough emphasis on the existence of homosexuality? only adrienne rich has truly addressed the issue of homosexuality as a beautiful thing. why do feminists work on strengthening the male/female relationships rather than promoting homosexuality?

also, do you think compulsory heterosexuality is a problem? this is the idea that society forces us to become heterosexual...

Additional Details

feminism shouldn't have the burden of promoting sexual rights but when it comes down to lesbian existence, why do feminists find it so hard to talk about? it is argued by adrienne rich in her prose "compulsory heterosexuality" that women who are forced by society to be heterosexual often times submit to a man that is abusive. she argues that if we stop promoting heterosexuality and condemning heterosexuality that it will ultimately make way for more rights for women.

Smart and probably sexy like her lol
There are alot of feminist categories so idk...
They pay attention to others more than homosexuality I guess.
Virginia Wolf was a feminist...she was lesbian and an excellent Author.
Yes I think Compulsory heterosexuality is a problem b/c it leads to discrimination against homosexuals and the intolerance and/or invisibility of gay men and lesbians in society.

question #2 i think it is an impossibility. You are who you are and no one can change that , not even you.
Society promotes hertro relationships but no one and nothing can change another human being from the way they were born.
Feminism is an equality movement. Should not have anything to do with changing or promoting sexual lifestyles.
