Of course you should be nervous, but not in a crazy way. It's natural to be nervous. :) As for lunch, for the first day you should take some money. That way you can see if maybe there is a kitchen for food, or somewhere you could put the lunch. And if so, save your money and pack a lunch from then on! :)

I would pack your lunch and also bring some cash with you. When I had an internship some people actually went out to lunch or had a cafriteria. You will kick a**! You go right in there with an attitude of "yea I am going to do great!"

Do not pack a lunch, get to know your fellow workers at lunch at their usual hangout. Be as nervous as you like, but do not show it. First impressions are lasting ones

Bring a notebook and pencil. Take notes so that once they tell you how to do something, you can refer to notes and will not appear that you are not serious. Remember this could lead to a very lucrative career. Only take 30 min or 1 hour for lunch, whatever the policy is. Do not take long breaks, use your breaks to go to the restroom or get a snack. Bring a lunch on the first day, if you do not have a car, just in case there is no where close to eat. Good luck, you will do fine.

Pack a lunch since you don't yet know what the daily routines are for ordering out, going out to lunch, etc. Lots of people pack a lunch -- especially interns (unless yours is a paid internship).

It's natural to be nervous because it's something new, but companies just love interns, so don't worry. Just dress nice but comfortable, bring something to write with and on, your lunch, and an open mind.

I interned at a firm where bringing lunch was considered anti-social behavior. Lunch time at the firm was time to socialize with your peers and senior colleagues.

I have also heard that going around with a pen and note pad makes a good impression on your employers. It makes you come across as someone who is ready to learn which is what they expect from an intern.

Don't be nervous. Think of your internship as a chance for the company to evaluate you and you them. Ask a lot of questions, take notes, ask them for stuff to do when there is down time and be yourself. They met you during your interviews and they liked you enough to bring you on for the intership so there is nothing to worry about.

STROLLLLLLLLLL WITH CONFIDENCE, YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR THIS FOR A VERY LONG TIME. BEING NERVOUS IS NATURAL, BUT KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHY YOU ARE GETTING INTO THIS BUSINESS. JUST PAY ATTENTION, LISTEN AND RELAX. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING OR YOU WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HIRED....... GOOD LUCK!
