How do I get rid of the Kerosene smell on clothes?

Clothes have been washed only once but still have a bit of a kerosene smell, how do I get the smell out???

vinegar and lemon juice and a good de-greasing laundry detergent. May take several washes. DO NOT dry until the smell is out. If you dry it in, it will be much harder to get out.

    Hang them outside on a clothesline. YOu shouldn't put clothes with kerosene or solvents in the dryer--the heat may cause them to burn. If you air them outside, the kerosese should evaporate after a day or two. If there's still a residue, wash them in the sink/bathtub using a heavy duty degreaser like Greased Lighning or Formula 409. Then dry out doors again.
