Did you know that these companies filed bankruptcy in California?

I just found out today at work during our meeting that Hollywood Video, Levitz, Sharper Image, Performance Team Freight, Linens n Things and Circuit City just filed bankruptcy so if you have gifts cards, use them ASAP. I just wanted to let all of my friends in Yahoo Answers know.

not true - store closings don't equal BK - some currently in reorganization BK and will survive in some form, some talking to others (Circuit City and Blockbuster) and haven't filed at all - and using gift cards promptly from troubled firms old news
