Folicular study is monitoring your follicle in a particular cycle. It is done from CD 10 and than after ovulation to see whether its ruptured or not.It can be done my sonogram or ultrasound.

normally doc do a OPK and tell u you are likely to ovulate in next 24-48 hours.they also do check follicle size and confirm when you will ovulate..

here is a link check it....
