I just moved into a townhome. I noticed tiny reddish ants all over the place?

Question

What can I use besides poison any home remedy ideas.
I have children and the smallest is 2,so Id rather use something safe.

The best remedy is to use the chalk available that kill ants and insects , drag a line where ants are there in 15-20 mins all the ants will dies out sweep it aways and mop the place to clean traces of the chalk as well .
This would avoid the kids in getting contact with the chalk powder :-)

These Tiny Red ants bite. You should call your landlord and he should take care of it. If that is impossible, you need to destroy the ant hill. Be careful. These little boogers are viscous. Buy some product to kill fire ants.
It is a possibility they could be termites. Definitely call your landlord.

those sound like they are grease ants, very nasty little ants that sting very badly when they get you. find where they are going and coming from. clean the area with ammonia and try to close up where they get in

I had this problem. If you look close and follow the ants pathway, you will find that they have a trail, an actual path, like a highway when they enter. they will walk they trails in and out of your house, sometimes several floors and into the kitchen particularly. Spritz the trails when found regularly with a small spritz if RAID ant and roach killer, or the equivalent.
