The average length of a marriage THESE days is seven years. But don't ever be taken back by that percentage. Anyone can make it work; for a lifetime, - if people just try, understand, & be completely honest&truthful.

I saw on a television program that the average marriage last 7 years. Apparently, when two people fall in love, they release chemicals that attract each other. Approximately 7 years after they have gotten together, they start to become immune to each others chemicals, and are therefore less attracted to them.

I think there is somehting in this, but there are marriages that last for 50/60+ years, and others that only last a few days. i think in the ned it comes down to compatibility of the two people on a friendship level. This determines whether they can stay together when the sex is not as good. If the relationship is based on sex it will fail. if it based on friendship, it will succeed.

It depends on the people. If you really like each other it will mostly go on for a long time. You shouldn't make fast decisions when it comes to marriage. But I would say the average length of marriage is around 5-6 years.
