Was Barack Obama born in the USA? No record of birth in any hospital in Hawaii?

There is a rumor circulating in journalistic circles that Barack Obama was born in Nairobi Kenya when his mother and father were in Kenya on a visit and that his parents returned with the infant who was then registered in Hawaii.

Apparently, examination of the hospitals' records in Hawaii have shown no birthing records for Ann Dunham Obama even though there is a registry of the birth in the public records office a week after his date of birth it does not show his place of birth.

Anyone have any news on this?

Yo Gene L checked the records as this is the hospital mentioned on Obama '08 website and NOTHING there.

The Obama Campaign have been asked to post his hospital birth certificate but have refused. Why? Senator Clinton's is on record, McCain's is on record but NOT Obama's. Why?

Yes you can fly with a new born baby. Hospital records exisit for Senators Clinton and McCain even President Bush and both are more than 50 years of age.

Good you asked this. This suspicion had been there before but no one posted it for lack of link. Maybe your theory is right. And who knows that this is why Michael Moore is endorsing him to learn more about him for a later documentary to be titled: The Dem Obummah Fraud Ride. lol.

I don't know, but just so some people know, unless the laws have changed, if you are born out of this country to an American citizen, it does not make you one. I have a friend who was born in another country to American Parents, and she had to apply for and become an American citizen. I think if you are born to an American citizen who is serving in the military out of this country, then you are considered an American citizen.

The story defies common sense. You can not fly with a new born baby and no one would travel on a "vacation" that close to the due date, especially to a third world country. Also it is standard that the public record office is notified about a week after a birth and hospitals do not always have of keep track of 50 year old records.

He's already a US Senator, and that requires US Citizenship.

If there were any credence to your claim, it would have been investigated by now.

And his mother was an American citizen -- even if he wasn't born in the US, that still makes him a citizen.

Oh, and you'd add a modicum of credibility to your claim if you could cite one source that refers to this so-called "rumor circulating in journalistic circles".
