Plea to simple robbery?

I was charged with ag robbery ( Which I did not commit) I was offered simple robbery as a plea bargain in colorado.because I had no knowledge of a weapon . I did not know any robbery was going to take place at all. Simple robbery is a lot better deal than robbery because there is not mandatory jail time and its not considered to be a violent crime. This is my first felony What are the chances I will see prison for this?? it's a f4

Robbery is a class 4 felony in Colorado - The minimum sentence for a class 4 felony in Colorado is 2 years prison time and a $2,000 dollar fine, the maxumum sentence you could get is 6 years prision time and a $500,000 dollar fine, and any other circumstances such as probation and community service..normally when you take a plea it goes with the minumum sentence.

edit: You will probably be offered to either do a sentence like: 2 years probation (instead of prision time) and if you mess up while on probation you will then be put in prision for the remainder of your time...

    Good Luck

Take the deal. Depending on other factors, you'll probably be placed on supervised probation for a year or so which can become expensive with probation fees to pay to the county you were charged in. If you did not commit the crime, hire a capable attorney who specializes in criminal law and fight the charges against you. If you cannot afford a attorney, the state is required by federal law to provide one for you free of charge.

A felony is jail to prison time. So most likely.

A fourth degree felony, obviously depending on where this occured, can be handled in a number of ways. I had a C Felony for fraud over $250 for writing a bad check. I was told that I would serve time and blah blah blah, but I plead to the felony in exhange for six months probation and the time served being extradited, which was 14 days. If you have an attorney with half a brain, you should be okay.
