What rules did Florida and Michigan break so that their votes should not be counted?

Who made those "rules" up? Were these rules Howard Dean made up? So now he gets to punish Florida voters for "breaking the rules" when they were some rule he made up. How can the Democratic party have a chairman who does not believe in Democracy?

Primaries could not be held before a specific date. The DNC set up the primaries BEFORE that date. They were told that if the primaries took place the delegates would not be seated at the convention. The DNC basically said, "screw you we are having the primaries anyway."

The rules were established by the DNC and everyone signed off on them...i believe they were related to the timing of the Caucuses/primaries.

The rules were established ahead of time. MI and FL held their primaries too early, so their delegates won't be seated at the convention. Fair is fair, they knew the rules and they broke them. Why should they get their votes back?

Also, you can't count those votes when only Hillary's name was on the ballot, how is that fair? She doesn't care about the voters, she just wants the nomination.

They voted to move up their Primaries to earlier in the race so they would count. IE, the South Carolina one might not matter cause the issue might be decided by then.

The Democratic Party is who wont let the votes count, not the US Government.

They bumped up the day they held their primaries to an earlier time. They were decided upon by the Democratic National Committee. They are party guidelines and rules that all 50 states "initially" agreed upon and they were rules the other 48 states have followed.

Florida and Michigan moved up the dates of their primaries to January 29, just before Super Tuesday. They did so, so they could play a more important role in the Democratic process. States can't break rules to benefit themselves. If they were allowed to break them, what would stop other states from breaking them. Howard Dean need to keep order and proper behavior that's why those two states were striped of their delegates. As far as Florida, it was the Republican party in that state that moved up the Democratic primary. As far as Michigan it was the Democratic governor. If no one are going to follow rules why have them?

Some call it a survey, but its actually a vote for the person you want to be the party's candidate.
Some say its not important that our votes don't count.
I say its America and when I ballot on anything it should count.
