I need to get to Penn Station, I am coming from MA, and I want to park in CT, what trains would I take?

I want to try to park in connecticut somewhere and take a commuter rail into new york (for the auto show)...I need to get to Penn station, where in Connecticut would be the easiest place to go to park and ride the train into New York?

It's best if park at Metro-North's New Haven- Union Station, not State St.

From MNRR Ticket Office or MNRR Ticket Vending Machine, purchase $18.50 peak or $9.25. Since MNRR station fare in CT is set up by CT DOT, fare remains same.
Get on last car of New York-bound New Haven line to last stop, Grand Central.
When you get to Grand Central, rear car will be at Grand Central North where there is exit available weekdays to 48th St/Park Av exit.
From there, you are few blocks to Lex Av-53rd St, where you could paid $2 for subway or $4 roundtrip.
Take World Trade Center-bound (E) train to 34th St.

Just go to your local website about trains and rails.

The Metro-North commuter rail goes into Grand Central.

You can take the subway from Grand Central to Penn Station - take the shuttle to Times Square, then the 7th Ave. line to Penn Station.
