Chemistry between actors-do you think it can be faked?
or it has to be there, from the start?
suppose it depends how good the actors are?

As you say yourself. They are Actors ... if they cannot visualise the concept as required, then no, it would show on film, but then they wouldn't be very good actors.

it depends on how good of an actor they are... because if your not it shows in the movie that they have no chemistry than the movie sucks...

It's fake. That's why they are the actors and we are the ones whi watch the films.

I'd say it depends on the skill of the actors. For instance, Vivian Leigh HATED working with Clark Gable on "Gone With the Wind" and yet they are a legendary couple.

they are trained an in an industry that relies on them "faking" moods.. if they can fake crying without any problems in life.. its sure gonna be as easy as anything for them to "fake chemistry".
Its what being an "actor" is.. "acting" or "faking" roles/emotions.

I don't think even a good actor can fake chemistry. Either it's there, or it isn't. That's why casting directors have the actors involved "read" with each other to see if they have the chemistry it takes to tell the story. A good actor might go through the motions, but I believe audiences are savvy enough to see right through that ruse.

I think it can be faked (or acted) but I also think when the chemistry is real, it makes the scenes so much more intense.

That's a mark of good actors. Obviously it will be better if there is real chemistry. I think one of the worst on-screen chemistries was between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman in Star Wars II and III. They had absolutely no chemistry and he was a horrible actor. Natalie needed someone greater to make it work.

Of course it can be faked, they are actors. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey in the movie Failure to lunch didn't click, they admited there were no chemistry between them, but on screen they did a nice job.
I think when the cheamistry is there, it makes even their acting better and the movie much more interesting. A good example is Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones in Intorable Cruelty.

They trick themselves into thinking it's real so from one perspective it's true but in reality they are faking it. They must have terrible relationships.

I don't know...you can tell when they hate each other because the general tone of the film isn't quite right.
