Are Rafters pulling away from ridge in attic a problem?

I had an home inspection doen and a rafter is not touching the ridge, with a quarter inch gap.
I don't think it pulled away. I would make a bet in this (Pulte build) subdivision of 3000 Sqft houses, that I can find that in any attic. Is the home inspector a bit zelaous?

It may have been built this way since day one. That why it's called rough-in framing. Or it may result from wood shrinkage. Either way it's no big deal. If it really bothers you, install a steel connector plate.
