Is a mono-culture [us vs them] FAITH only evil, when its believers are inculcated with the fervant desire 2...

...see the entire magnificent global cultural & religious diversity of the world, converted into their own narrow vision.

and is it only dangerous [as well as evil], when its Us versus Them mentality infects the law, education and the military, to bring about [or continue] the religious brainwashing, that makes children grow up to see the world in terms of US versus THEM, instead of seeing themselves as one among many varied and colourful strands?

Sorry but I think YOU have a very narrow view on certain religious groups. Why don't you mention who you are really on about or do you know in your heart that you are just following the prejudices of others?

Asker's Comment:
i ask it in such a way that it gets under the radar of who its concerned with, so as to jolt them into a tiny moment of awareness.
maybe the seed will grow and they will start thinking for themselves, if the culture theyr from has the law education politics etc not daring to question religion.

When I first read mono culture I thought this was a bio question.

Us vs. them is always bad.

People everywhere are overloaded with information,
they don't want to have to keep track of differences
in culture, they'd prefer if everyone just believed the
way they do to make it simpler for them.

    bism Allah

i invite you to read holy quran :

    [49:13]
O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware.

rest is EGO-clashes. the worst are those who use religion (they sell it) for ego-serving purposes.

islam is the religion of Allah swt [GOD] it is same with all prophets before. it is about being in peace with Allah swt and all His creation.

if you have questions, feel free to ask.

    salam (=peace)

If you are so confident that you have your facts right then why do you not mention the name of the group of people you are referring to? Do not judge anyone until you have the truth at your disposal

it is wrong, but religions of these type simply perpetuate the already existing Them n Us philosophy that is present through out the world. it is a basic survival technique. what these religion's do is twist that idea to their own ends. when we believe strongly in something it is human nature to believe we are right beyond a shadow of a doubt and everyone else is wrong, otherwise we have to face the idea that we are wrong and that everything we believe in is rubbish and that hurts. so people assert that theirs is the only right way, that way they are always right.

i don't think that this is evil as such, manipulative and immoral maybe, but every ones perception of evil is different. i am pagan and i don't really think it is any different in this type of religion. everyone should believe what they will and with conviction, but people should also learn to live and let live and except that not everyone shares their opinion or wants to.

Just trust in God and read His inspired word the Bible, then perhaps you will find and understand the blessings that are spoken of there.
