Anyways...
Republicans think it isn't because...
In the past century the average yearly temperature has gone up 1 degree.
water vapor is actually the most prevalent of greenhouse gases.
We're not causing it, (according to them; I remain neutral) and it is part of a natural Earth cycle. There have been cycling periods of warmth and cold throughout Earth's history.
Climate change is also linked to sunspot activity.
Carbon Dioxide is one of the less prevalent greenhouse gases, and we don;t exactly produce much of it.

Democrats think it is true because...
The temperature is warmer than previous warm spells.
The temperature has been fairly unstable lately.
Hurricane seasons hit world records for the number and size of them last year (or 2)
The Ice caps are shrinking.
Coral bleaching has become more common, and it is linked to temperature rise.
The sea level has risen due to melting ice caps.
It is part of a cycle, but we're making it worse (according to them; I remain neutral.)

I think it doesn't matter. Oil dependency is bad no matter how you look at it, whether you think emissions, high price, or that we're giving money to al Qaeda and terrorism through oil. By the time we figure out the answer, It'll be too late.

We can't really no for sure if it is 100% true. But we notice that the temp of the earth has risen from the past, and we no that the gases we burn and the pollutants we use are linked to the rise in temperature. We can only predict what happens if the temperature rises.

global warming is true because of all the cars,planes and even microwaves. we are destroying the o-zone which helps block out most of the uv rays which keeps the earth at a nice temperature, but with all the cars and airplanes we are acually helping the o-zone to become lesser and lesser until there is nothing left and we could all get very bad sunburns or skin infections.

Nope. Ask the founder of the weather channel. Global warming is something cooked up so that money would be donated and for scare tatics from politicians. Don't get me wrong I'm all for not wasting the earth's resources but when I think of global warming I think of Y2K.

Global warming is true, but so is global cooling. Nature has a cycle like that. Remember the polar bears? Everyone was worried about them because the North Pole was shrinking. Over this winter though, the North Pole grew back to almost its previous size. Hope this helps.

I believe that anything can be true if we want it to be, and there is evidence to whatever your trying to prove.
but theres still snow on the ground in kentucky and it's april. they're still floods and snowstorms.
I don't buy into it.. i don't know for certain but twenty years ago there were heatwaves, and they aren't any worse today... but i definitely agree that we need to help the environment in any way we can, so if people buy into it and take action to create change than i'm all for it!

I don't really believe it much. In the 70's and 80's people thought there would be another Ice Age. Now everyone thinks the world has Global warming. Temperatures change. Climates change. I do believe we should all plant trees and take the necessary precautions for Global Warming. But we will never know everything about our world. Nature surprises us all the time. in 15 years, I bet everyone will think we're gonna have another Ice Age. Again! Global Warming could be true. But us little people on Earth will never know. In my opinion, it's all up to God.

If you look at the actual evidence, you will see that the global climate swings back and forth from 10+ Degrees to the Ice Ages...

The evidence shows that the global climate fluxuates based on the energy out put of the sun.

ONE volcano can release more green house gasses in one eruption then ALL of the emissions from Europe in a year...

Then you look at the evidence that shows that it isn't carbon dioxide that causes climate change... Why would it be doing it now when it had no impact on the climate throughout the rest of history? The ice cores show it doesn't...

To answer this question correctly, one must define "global warming." It's a hot button issue, one which has been manipulated and exhausted by extremists who desperately need a cause to squabble over.

One of the main arguments for the danger of "Global Warming" is that CO2 has destroyed our ozone layer. This is simply not true. There was a pocket of time where the ozone was damaged severely from abusing CO2 in the 50s, however, a lot of that damage has naturally been restored.

There is also natural temperature changes that occur in the world without our help. In the 70's everybody thought there would be an ice age.

Does this mean we should completely throw out the Global Warming sensationalism? Not necessarily. There are limited resources on this Earth and we need to advance science and technology to find the greatest efficiency for them. Although someday the world will inevitably be unable to sustain life (when our sun dies)... so I think humanity should be realistic about what it can and can't do.
