what is the difference between a burrito and a soft taco?

the fillings are entirely closed in a burrito and a taco is only folded so that the fillings are still exposed.

A burrito is always in a large shell... has refried beans .. and sometimes rice.....

Tacos can be in any size shell.... do not have refried beans or rice!

A soft taco uses a smaller tortilla and is just folded in half around the fillings. A burrito is a bigger tortilla that is wrapped completely around the filling and tucked in at the ends.

What goes inside can be very similar. The benefit of a taco is you can include raw veggy toppings and they stay crunchy.
