It is true, John McCain was near the bottom of his class, however, this was not due to a lack of intelligence, but the fact that, back then, he was a troublemaker. Grades don't mean virtually anything, and most people should know that. I didn't get that good of grades in high school. Does this mean I'm unintelligent? No, it means I didn't go to a full day of class throughout my entire senior year because I was bored with it. In my military class I finished second with a 94.6% (.1% behind the first in my class) in military intelligence, and now, going to college I get A's and B's (approximately 3.56 GPA) Not too shabby from someone who didn't have good grades in high school. In fact, most psycologists say that many people with bad grades and 'habits of getting into trouble' sometimes have the tedency to be highly intelligent.
