The God of Small Things _Arundhati Roy?

I just started reading this novel and I like it alot. Could someone please tell me what the "small things" are and mean? It's an odd title for such a book.

Additional Details

Yeah I like it, kinda confusing at first. I remember I read it back in highschool but I probably didn't actually read it. i found it and am trying again- but can't get that "small things" figured out.

I guess it's how we put our matrix of values on things, so what we overlook as unimportant and small is actually important to God and isn't overlooked. Sort of like the subtle life that we can't see.

Roy is from India which is the most spiritual place in the universe. Often in Eastern religions spritual energy is referred to as subltle energy, which is hidden, that our society and ordinary humans don't see because they're too gross, but God does.
