How can I stop the Boact Ltd window from popping up?

Question

Everytime I start the computer, a warning box appears asking if I want to run the Boact Ltd program. I always hit cancel; I have checked under the Start button and my programs to ensure the malware is not on the system. I even ran a full scan for spyware using Windows Defender and the system is clean so far. I just don't understand why the warning box appears everytime I start the computer no matter if I hit cancel from the previous day.

I had a similar experience with malwarealarm and was finally able to get rid of it using Spyware Doctor. It was incredibly annoying, and I fortunately took screenshots along the way in hopes of helping others get out of this jam too (link below).

Whatever you do, do _not_ pay that company any money or download their "solution". The same company that infected your computer is the same one who is telling you to buy their program.

open control panel, click Add/Remove programs
look for Boact on the list and remove it.

It might take more than that, though
if that doesn't fix it, try removing it from your startup programs:
click start --> run and type msconfig
click the startup tab and look for the boact on the list of programs set to run at startup.

These may not work. it may be an indication of a more serious infection, in which case you would need to take steps such as getting a different antivirus.
