John McCain suffers from PTSD..?!?!?

This is a serious mental deficit knowns as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder he suffered during his captivity as a POW.

It's not something that will heal overtime. It's a permanent damage to his mental-state-of-being and under stress, ( such as the President of the United States of Americans and especially during these troubling times ) can trigger a negative reaction such as uncontrollable rage within himself, to himself, and by himself.

It's like witnessing a person talking to himself or struggling with "imaginary demons" within himself. McCain is 79 years old and as a President, we need a levelheaded candidate with a better "health" prospect.

Obama is 46 years old, energetic, calm, and wise in his own counsel. There is no mental or physical ailments preventing him from handling the rigors of being the President of the United States of America.

Obama is simply a much better prospect than John McCain.

Additional Details

I like to add, serving in the Senate is totally different from being the President of the United States of America. The "matters" are more intense. Decisions required urgency with a sound mental state of being, not someone who has lived with PTSD for 40 years.

You can fool the Republican voters but you aren't fooling a Democrat.

A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s client, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.

Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.

Mondale used the same argument against Reagan and look where it got him.

Also, McCain has been under stress for a very long time. He's been in congress 25 plus years. Don't you think he would have cracked by now if what you're saying is true?

If people want to vote for Obama because he is the best candidate, that's fair. But, if the only reason to vote for him is that McCain is a complete madman, then maybe its best to stay home on election day.

So if this is true, you are limiting a handicapped person?
He suffered for his country, now toss him aside. Just like a democrat, the ones that think that a fetus is expendable.

Where is Obama's experience. It is different being in the Senate. Only 3 years there, and alot of the time he didnt even bother to vote. Couldnt decide what the best vote would be to get elected.

His PTSD will make him hyper vigilant a good quality in a leader. Having someone in the office with his eyes open would be a welcome change.

Senator Obama must quit smoking cigarettes before I could vote for him. My wife says she saw him with a cigarette once on TV.

I knew it was going to be hard. As a Vietnam Veteran who has deep respect for the gentleman from Arizona, and feels that he would vote for anyone as long as they were not Republican, I am in a pickle. At least Senator McCain was not in favor of this war at the beginning he is now telling us not what we want to hear, but what we need to pay attention to if the United States wants to salvage any respect in the international community. Remember respect is not even similar to fear.

Yes, he does have PTSD, as do many war veterans, and victims of severe child abuse

Yet, it hasn't affected his political career so far...and he was diagnosed with it about 40 years ago

After all of these years McCain, does not suffer from so much trauma, as he did many years ago. I wonder if you could have came out on top, like he did after being a Prisoner for so long? He is a Great American, who did not hide from serving his Country. I have great Respect for him, for enduring so much . I do agree with you as far as age and I have vibes that his Cancer is not gone. When McCain was Obama's age, he was a real Hero. He did not struggle. Obama is a Democrat and McCain is a Republican.
So what can I say ??
