Is god using reverse psychology to separate the men from the boys?

i mean, if you were god and you were judging two individuals who led the basically the same life with the exception of one being christian and the other being a non-believer, who would you think is more worthy, the one who led a decent and honest life knowing that he would win the lotto of lottos(heaven) or the one who led a decent and honest life with no incentive to do so? basically it all comes down to INTEGRITY. btw, this is just a theory, known as heil the persian cat empire's wager.

Both are good, but BOTH have sinned before in their lives and they BOTH deserve eternal Hell. If they accept Jesus, their sins will be wiped clean so they can enter Heaven.

Maybe, but there are amazing people on both sides. Whether they believe they will go to Heaven or not, many are still driven by a strong desire to overcome and succeed. This comes from within, and I'm sure you can sense this in a person regardless of their beliefs.

It has nothing to do with integrity. it all comes down to faith in Christ and when God looks on us he sees Christ. there is nothing in us that merits God saving us... it is the righteousness of Christ and Christ alone that is bestowed upon us when we accept him as our lord and savior.

Belief/behavior only for expectation of reward is rather shallow, in my opinion. This clearly shows such a belief system is about earthly control, not spirituality.

True goodness is its own reward; it needs no promise of benefit.

I think the one who didn't beleive in heaven would be more worthy, as he was being good because he wanted to, not just to get a reward (heaven).

But this is coming from a non-Christian, so beleive what you want.

But there is, and as a matter of fact I am happy as is, sin makes a person miserable, I know that from experience.

But you have to realize that simply being an atheist or a Christian does not define their moral values or integrity. What if someone was raised an atheist? What if someone actually, truly and deeply, believes in Jesus Christ?

It is possible to live a decent and morally legitimate life, and also believe that you have to be a Christian in order to get into heaven.
