Hillary Clinton committed an error when she voted for the Iraq war but it was still needed at that time and no longer applicable to prolong the war for which her support had changed.

Hillary voted for the war for one reason. She knew she was running for President this term. She set it up so she could come in on her white horse and take over the election because America would be ready to ditch the republicans. Her only mistake was not counting on how well Obama would do in the race.

Anybody with any sense saw through it. Whether there were WMD's or not. A democracy will never work there and now we see why Sadam was such a hard a$$. That is all those animals understand. His government was about as close to Democracy as it will vere get over there.
As to why some politicians went along. Too afraid to appear weak on terrorism probably. This outcome was predicted by experts but of course ignored by a President hell bent on going to war.
