Should I run a Portable Dishwasher from an Extension cord?

Should I run a Portable Dishwasher from an Extension cord?
Do you think this is a bad thing? My Closest outlet is behind my fridge. It is not a 220 Plug. Should I run a new outlet with 220 or should I buy a Appliance extension cord? HELP!

You mention a 220 volt plug.
Is your portable dishwasher 220 volt?
If so you have to plug it into a 220 volt outlet or it will not work.
If the dishwasher is in fact 220 volt the end of its cord should be different than a regular 110 volt plug.

As long as you get an extension cord made of heavy enough "wire guage" to handle the current. Check your manual for guidance on that or get a heavy #12 wire cord ( 20 amps rating).

A portable dishwasher should be 110 volt.I would use a air conditioner cord it has a three prong plug and you buy them at hardware stores or walmart yes it may be called an appliance cord.Check your manual I never heard of a regular dishwasher that used 220 volts.I could be wrong .It should plug into a regular socket.
