How do I block a number from calling my house without having to call a company?

You may have to call your service provider. I know Rogers offers a service called Call Screening with their Home Phone Service you can opt to get. It will do just what you are looking for! You can program what numbers you DO NOT want to answer. They will get a message like "The Customer you are calling is not accepting calls from your number at this time" It's a great feature and is only $4 a month for it.

I believe that you have to call the company. It is a feature you have to pay for

It depends, is it a third party calling you, or a person? If it's a telemarketer or something, add your number to the no-call list. If it's a person harassing I'm not sure what you might be able to do, other than record a call and then bring it up with the police.

You can try dialing *60. If you have this service already, it will work and ask for the number you want to block.

If not, it will ring busy.

Call the phoen company in this case.
