Kevin Garnett is on his way to being a true Celtic, but not yet.
As for this matchup, ill say alltime Lakers wins 4-1. Kobe can shutdown any PG-SF player from the Celts. Russel will get worn out by the three-headed hydra known as Jabbar/Chamberlain/O'Neal. Nobody can stop a prime Shaq in any era. Kobe will run circles around Havlicek and will score at will. Bright spots for the Celts are Bird and Havlicek shooting them back in the game. By no means im a Lakers fan, this goes to show us that the Lakers organization consistently gets superstars in order for them to win. For the guy who thinks Shaq is not a Laker, he has 3 rings to show your wrong.

Glad to see Kevin Garrnet makes the All-Time Celtic team after only less then half a season.

Magic would be the difference. Having him is like having your head coach on the floor.

I don't really like the Lakers but I'd have to say Lakers would win this. I don't even think it would take 7 games. maybe 4-1.but even if like time travel was possible this team still couldn't be formed. Kobe and Shaq wouldn't play together.

Im not a lakers fan. With that said, I think an All Time Lakers team would sweep the All Time Celtics team. Do you see how stacked they are at Center? I would most definitely have to play James Worthy off the bench and have a rotation of Wilt and Kareem at PF and Shaq and George Mikan at C. Throw in the best point guard to play the game, Kobe AND Jerry West? lol no team can withstand that. Not even close

With "all-time" Shaq on the floor, it would be a joke for Celtecs.

Pat Riley could need some help from refs to win in game 7 (97:88, 95:89, 95:99, 93:98, 96:95, 97:98, 105:90), but Phil Jackson would win it in 5 games (110:82, 108:91, 98:99, 105:103, 125:78). Anyway, Lakers win unless Red can get extra talent out of stones.

Garnett doesnt belong in the All Time Celtics lineup - yet.

The Lakers policy of acquiring the best big man of the generation regardless of the cost really shines here (admittedly, a lesson painfully learned at the hands of Russell's dynasty era Celtics). This goes down on the Center matchups. Russ could cancel Wilt, Parish could cancel Jabbar, McHale could take out Mikan but the Celts have nothing against Shaq.

    All time Lakers in 5.

Of course if the All-time Celtics have a healthy Walton on their roster . . . . the shamrocks would win it in 7.

How many rings do the Celtics have? How many rings do the Lakers have? Nuff said.

    The Celtics win with sweep.

However, I don't think Shaq qualifies as a Laker because he left them under bad terms and KG doesn't really qualify as All-Celtic yet.

If the Lakers have Shaq, then it's anybody's game. It's going to be a 7 game series with Shaq.

If the Lakers have Shaq, then lets add in Bill Walton in his prime for the Celtics. Walton kicked Kareem's butt! And let's also add Ray Allen to the mix with KG. Nuff said. The prime Wilt can't beat Russell when Russell was in his prime, the prime Kareem can't beat Walton when Walton was in his prime, that only leaves Shaq with a chance. And Walton is like Dennis Rodman, how did Shaq faired against Rodman?

P.S. Bill Russell was the only player-coach in NBA history, he played and coached at the same time and still won rings. So I don't get it how someone can say "having Magic is like having another coach." Magic has never coached, and Magic has never won without Kareem.
P.P.S. Why is Jerry West a small forward? He played point guard!
