Does anyone know of any websites?

Question

I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant and do not have the money for those CRAZY hospital bills. I know there are places out there that will help a couple in debt having a baby but I'm not sure where to look. I'd ask my doctor but sadly I don't have the money for that right now. I was hoping some one on answer could point me in the direction of any websites I could look up that would give me the information I need and the help I hope I can get. Thank you so much for any answers! Oh, speaking of which I'm new to yahoo answers (only been on for about a week) and I've asked a question before and I tried to pick the best answer but when I clicked "choose as best answer" I guess it didn't save or something. Is there another step after I click that botton? Or am I just doing it wrong? Thanks again!

Medicaid- Not sure what state you're in but it should be Office of Family Support

Contact your local health department to see if they can assist you in applying for medicaid. Your local health department may be able to do your regular prenatal check-ups for you. A friend of ours just had a baby and medicaid paid for everything, it's just a matter of applying.

I would go to your local health department or Family Support Division. If you do not qualify for any assistance like medicaid, they can give you more resources. They are pretty nice about pregnancy.

I'm in FL too. Look up Florida Kid Care. They are really good about directing you to a place that could help you out. Also, Medicaid is sure to help. I had to have it with my 1st 2 kids. No payments at all. If you dont qualify b/c income is too high, then Bluecross and Blueshield of FL only charge like 20 dollars a month, which is a really good price. But it is really important to see a doctor during your pregnancy
