Muslims, before Muhammad how did God's people test a prophet?

The prophet Islam has is if the word of God is corrupt then a prophet can say God told him ANYTHING and there is no way to test this prophet. With no way to prove yourself a prophet of God YOU can not be a prophet of God unless God speaks directly to us and anounces you.

Muslims If The Bible is used to anounce your prophet the Bible can be trusted as proof, If the Bible is corrupt and can't be trusted than it can't be trusted to anounce a prophet of God. Moses spoke directly to God who warned his people not to follow false prophet but to test a prophet to see that he agreed with God.
How does Muhammad meet this test...If the word of God was corrupt then Muhammd would need to be verbally anounced by God we know he wasnt this means there must be an uncorrupt scripture that anounces him.
If we say this word of God to the Jews and the Gospel are this anouncement we must agree thay are trust worthy enough to prove Muhammad a prophet of God.

Christ is saying that Moses wrote of him and these writings accuse those who claim to know him but do not because they did nto believe the writings of Moses,
Would Christ be saying this if the writings of Moses were corrupt?
Read the word of God and see that it speaks of the curcifiction and of salvation through the Messiah.

Dear sir, the doctrine of trinity you speak of and the doctrine of original sin is not undestood by Muhammd and thus misunderstood by Muslims.

How did any prophet know that God taught them because from the Bible the only Prophet that spoke directly to God was Moses. Why have so much hate for the Prophet Muhammad through the Quran Muslims never have to pick up a Bible to tell you that Jesus was born by a miracle, he performed miracles, and some that aren't recorded in the Bible are in the Quran. Remember this my friend, when Muhammad was in Medina after his Prophethood was announced he was around Jews and Christians who knew who he was from the scriptures and many became Muslims. More important than that produce your evidence of these Christians and Jews that said he was not the Prophet of Promise. While Jesus only ministered to the Jews, Muhammad ministered to the world. There were a few hadith or traditions that are weak that say that the Quran was corupt but today just like then the Quran that was revealed to Muhammad is the same one we recite today. Check the Bibles history and see what you find. You Christians pride yourselves in Paul writing more than half the NT. We Muslims have no such pride in Prophet Muhammad because all the words are from God. Not like the Bible where some of the Books have unknown authors and there are records of lost books. The Quran is intact protected by the Lord of the Worlds Allah, God Highly Exalted is He above any and everything people associate with him.

1. there weren't false prophets before the prophet , but he warned us of false prophets after him.some appread even in his life and some in the companions life.

2.the propeht (peace be upon him) recieved the relevation from God through his angel Gabriel like all other prophets , and he was on the Abrahamic faith b4 he become a prophet of God ,

yes false prophets such as Paul who preach and then add his words into the Bible of God? who give any human the right to add his own words with God words. this Bible should be divided into three catagories. God words, Jesus words, and people words.

Prophets were often tested by having to produce a miracle in something people they were sent to were experts in - for example the Egyptians were highly accomplished at magic so Allah created a miracle at the hands of Moses which was greater than any magic they had seen.

The Arabs of the Prophet's time had an extremely advanced eloquent language - thus God showed them this was his revelation by producing something which was so astounding in their language they had to admit it had no other source. The beauty of the Quran in Arabic is truly extraordinary. Many poets would break their pens when they heard it.

A false prophet changes his teachings to get acceptance - as Paul did -the Prophet preached monotheism and for example sobriety in a land where idolatry and drunkeness were rocks of the culture. A true prophet also becomes rich and lives an easy live-even when the Prophet ruled the whole of Arabia he slept on the floor and when he died had 5 possessions- praying all night was an obligation for him and his religion set up obligations of praying 5 times a day and fasting for a whole month and giving away 2.5% of your wealth to the poor- why would a religion be so "hard" if it was false and just intended to get followers/money?

The Prophet simply related what was revealed to him -he said it was from God and I believe him since all the evidence points to that - in a deeply pagan society had he wanted to he could have claimed himself divine - yet the mesage he brought continually reaffirms that there is only one God and continual reaffirms that Muhammed is just a man - such that picturing him, prostrating to him, standing up for him or even over venerating him were completely forbidden by it

That is the test of a true prophet

Excuse me, but Mohammed did not have an encounter with the angel Gabriel. That is "muslim's" add on, but not scriptural. Mainly because the angel Gabriel approached a few people in God's Word and all their encounters were the same. The angel Gabriel ALWAYS identified himself. Scripture says David and Mary were so afraid, but Gabriel replied, "Do not be afraid David, do no be afraid Mary.........I am the angel Gabriel and I have a message from God for you." Mohammed did not have such an encounter. He met with a spirit, but not one sent from the Lord. And again, true prophets of God receive a direct call from God and perform miracles. miracles r different... it is chosen according to the topic in life in which his ppl r experts in... here is the challenge.

i think there might have been false prophets before Muhammed (PBUH), but we r not told about them. while those who came afterwards r mentioned in his (PBUH) autobiography. also we r told that Muhamed (PBUH) is the LAST prophet, so anyone after him claiming prophecy is no way a liar! i think this is what Muslim Rose meant.

EDIT: the Qur'an doesn't teach Muhamed (pbuh) has no miracles. it teaches he is NOT A GOD (there is a big difference man!!!). Muhamed being the last prophet should have miracles that fits with all up-coming ages & technologies. that is the Qur'an. it is not our problem u don't believe in the moon being splitted when he prayed to Allah to split it, when infidels specified this miracle for them to believe in islam. it was not a magic & new images of the moon support this.
when someone comes by miracles NOW, then this is contradictory with islam, so either of them is wrong. so, i have to compare & choose. NOTE; i don't consider magic as miracles... then what is ur point?

EDIT: pardon me! we believe in the bible & sincere Monks at the time of Muhamed (pbuh) followed Muhamed for it was "written" in their book (the bible) (there r MANY examples written in Muhamed (PBUH) autobiography). actually he was born with "signature of prophecy" on the back of his shoulder, beside all his facial features, body built, morality,...etc was written in the bible for the God's ppl to follow the new prophet. when they believed in him & converted to islam, they left the bible for those who remained as christians, as Qur'an now is their book. according to my interpretation; the remainder christians omitted those verses to stop ppl converting to islam. (u should ask them why they remained as christians, & they would tell u the same reason why jews remained as jews & didn't believe in Jesus (PBUH)!!!).
those ppl somehow knew they were wrong, as when the prophet asked them to pray to god & make the DAMN be on the wrong, they refused:

EDIT: to sum-up & make it clear; we believe in the true bible without ANY human modification. we trust this one & at the same time it PREDICTS the prophet Muhammed (pbuh). so, there is NO contradiction at all!!!
by the way, i don't understand why u stress on this point? let me repeat it to u: a fact without a proof is just a claim.. may b true.. may b false (here comes the role of miracles, that is why we believe in him)

the 1st part helped sincere Monks to convert to islam at time of Muhamed (PBUH), as they know for sure about his true prophecy. e.g. in the prophet autobiography, the narrator states that one christian came to prophet & did shahada, then he said: i even know u more than i know my sons (he added how can i make sure they r not mine; & my wife got pregnant from ****? but i find u in my Holy book which for sure tells the truth!!). this is NOT available now as the bible is changed (however till now, i hear every now & then about a religious christian leader converting to islam).
the 2nd part helps us now to believe in him. it is the miracle of Qur'an which is not changed since reached him till now. other miracles as camel talked to prophet, once while walking; stones along his road saying: peace b upon u,...etc. we don't stress on them coz u won't just believe in them when we tell u it is reported. but for Qur'an it is said since 1,400 years ago & proved by modern science!
to sum up: ok, i may not b able to get back the original bible, coz u didn't keep it for us! but the fact of conversion of religious leaders to islam at time of the prophet is an enough proof, isn't it? in Qur'an it says:
"So if you (O Muhammad SAW) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, [i.e. that your name is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] then ask those who are reading the Book [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before you. Verily, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt (it)." (10: 94)

" He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. I'm obliged to inform you that the truth is that Christians DON'T worship the same god that the Jews worship, while the Muslims DO worship the same god of the Jews.

Believe it or not, according to Judaism, a GOD-fearing Muslim has a place in Heaven, while Christians (whether devout or not) won't ever enter Heaven because their trinity is pure polytheism.

Again and again, PLEASE invite the Jews to your questions to tell you why they don't beleive in the trinity, why they don't consider Jesus to be GOD and why do they refuse the concept of the original sin and salvation through crucifxion. Do this, and I believe that your discussions will be more interesting and fruitful.
