Is beer good or bad for dogs?

my dad says its good for the coat but i dont believe its good for them.

Beer in small quanties is actually good for dogs. It does help their coats and skin tone. The best choice is a super malty beer (like Guinness.)

They make shampoo that's good for an animal's coat. I wouldn't suggest giving them beer. I've never heard of beer being good for people's hair, so why dogs?

All I know is that I have to keep my beer in my hands or I will loose it to a couple Boxador doggies. I don't understand why they like my beer but they will knock it over and slurp it up before I realize the beer is missing.

As for there coat.... I have no idea if it helps. haha But I can say that my dogs coat looks fine before and after they steal my beer.

I've known horses, goats, dogs and pigs that all liked beer. Kobe Beef are fed "Sake Wine " to relax them. I fed my pigs beer to make them happy. It might actually ease some of the aches and pains of older or arthritic animals.

Very very bad for their liver - it can make them very sick.
However, beer products in dog shampoos can make it glossy, but so can eggs, oil etc.
Just please tell me you wont be so cruel as to give any animal alcoholic products. Thats just sick.

if the dog wants to drink it then let him, if u have to hold him down to get him to drink it then its probably bad.

When my husband opened a can of beer the dogs would come skidding around the corner for a taste.
Actually beer is very good for an animals fur and it's good for a human's hair. After washing your hair, pour about 1/4 can into your hair and leave it. Makes your hair shiny and manageable and has no odor. But dogs should not drink alcohol.
