Any one who knows about Yasmin's class actions?

I was 28 years old when I had a stroke. The only medication that I was taking was Yasmin. They check everything on me, and everything was fine... they told me (off the record) that they tough the stroke was due to the birth control pills I was taking (Yasmin). Please tell me anything that you may know about a class action againts Yasmin.

I was 28 as well when I had multiple strokes, they call the TIA strokes. I was perfectly healthy until I started taking Yasmin. About a month into it I started to have 2-3 migraines a month and they got worse as time went on. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the Yasmin was causing the migraines at first. A year went by and my doctor told me the birth control I was on can cause migraines, so I went off it righ away and what do you know the migraines stopped! I got pregnant with my second child four months later, during my pregnancy I had headaches all the time and about 8 months along I started to have dizzy spells and felt really weird and of course my gyno said it's the baby don't worry abou it. The day after I had my son everything went down hill. In the last two years I have had multiple TIA strokes, a hemeragic stroke in my cerebelum, multiple lesions on my brain two seperate times and no one can give me a diagnosis. The best they can come up with right now is I probably have Sarcoid Vasculitis on the brain, but no way of knowing unless they do a brain biopsy which isn't possible right now, too risky. I know in my gut this was all brought on by Yasmin birth control, they do list stroke can happen, but to a completely healthy 28 year old who doesn't smoke or have a history of health problems until taking their pill. They are using us a ginny pigs and trying to brain wash everyone to think it's the best pill out there, but it's also new and people have too much trust in these drug companies. Yes, I was one of those women who took it, but I was also told by my doctor this is the best and I needed to take some kind of pill for my endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Anyway, I tried to see if I could get a law-suit against Yasmin and was laughed at. The only way is if their is a class-action filed and that would take a lot, but I'm not giving up. I would like to talk to you more about this, how do we get in contact? We can look into this law-suit more, now there is two of us, there is probably more women out there like us we just need to find them!

I have not heard of one against yasmine but I have against the people that make the patch. BUT in EVERY thing of BC the pamplet tells you that stoke and blood clots leading to strokes are possible side effects so I really dont see how any one ca sue any of these companies cause they deffenitally tells us that alot of bad things can and will probly happen to us but we keep taking them anyways. I am just as guilty as the next I had a mirena in and have been on birth control for over 10 years guess I am just one of the lucky ones

There doesn't seem to be such a lawsuit.

A 2007 study comparing Yasmin to other oral contraceptives found the no higher risk of stroke among Yasmin users: "Ethinylestradiol/drospirenone initiators and initiators of other oral contraceptives are similarly likely to experience thromboembolism."
-- "Risk of thromboembolism in women taking ethinylestradiol/drospirenone and other oral contraceptives," found in PubMed.

Taking any birth control pill slightly raises your risk of stroke if you are under 35 and don't smoke.

I've only heard of class action lawsuits against Depo Provera.

    Perhaps google "yasmin lawsuit"?
