OMG, HELP, I am on fire. Jalepeno juice?

Question

I cleaned a bunch of jalepenos, yes, I wore gloves. But some how it still got on my nose. My god, it burns like hell. Does anyone know how to stop the burning?
OUCH
I look like a drunk with a RED nose.

You need the acid in tomatoes, soup , catsup will work. I know from personal experience.

I just got down in email , "ring of fire" by "johnny cash" , a vulgar take off about eating Salsa and the day after..this is soooooo like that song! And who are you trying to kid...you ARE a drunk with a red nose...how else can you explain sticking a Jalapeno up your nose! Cheryl, you are too funny! Phil (By the way, I hear that sticking bread up your nose will stop the burning, but it may interfer with breathing...whatever
AND please do not pour milk down your nose! This is a case where the cure is worse than the disease! :-)

Most foods that taste bitter are very basic on the pH scale, which should nuetralize the highly acidic pepper. although if its in your nose that you may as well just snort some milk as ridiculous as that sounds lol.

Rinse with lemon juice followed by water, and stop picking your nose.

That happened to me once LOL(sorry I'm not making fun of you.) Ok so wash your nose first with ice water and lemon juice mixed together.After your done with that put aloe on your nose and stay by a fan with your nose by it.I tried this it works! HOPE THIS HELPS!!! good luck with your red nose=)

Add milk to it. I know it helps when you drink it. I always order milk in a Mexican Restaurant in case the chili is too hot.

no scratching when playing in jalapenos. I would put a bit of vinegar on a rag and put that up to my nose and see what happens, or tough it out -- could be an omen. ha!

Try tomato juice and bread... on your skin, bathe with vinegar! Hurry!

Time heals all pain...even Jalepeno oil. Milk has been suggested throughout and does work when pepper oil is consumed; however, I've never seen someone stick their nose in milk...or snort it as was suggested.

Sugar. or Yogurt. When I was teaching, a class came in after lunch. soon I saw a girl looking totally miserable. I asked her if she was sick and she said she had eaten jalapenos and her lips were burning terribly. I got her a wet paper towel and it didn't help. One of the boys joked that she should be called "Hot Lips", which didn't cheer her up. Then I remembered the sugar trick and found a packet in my desk. I poured it on the wet towel and within a few minutes, she pulled it off to say it was much better. Her mouth as encrusted with sugar, so the boy decided she should be called "Sugar Lips". She laughed then!

What burns in hot peppers is oil. anything that cuts oil will stop the burn.
