Google knol v.s. wikepedia?

Sounds to me like Knol will be a lot more about money, and Wikipedia is about sharing knowledge. As an author, I can write something for Knol and "monetize" it as I see fit. I would also be the only person who could make edits to the article; all changes would have to be filtered through me.

My guess is that a lot of people are going to reference Wikipedia a lot in writing articles for Knol.
