Are vinyl records still produced by new artists?

Also wondering where you could find a record player.
This is all preferably 78's.
And if there are any chain stores that sell records for cheap.

Some artists like Sting and Red Hot Chilli Peppers prefer vinyl. Try http://store.acousticsounds.com/vinyl-record.cfm

Yes, though I don't think the big chain stores (e.g. Best Buy) sell vinyl at all. You'd have to go to a specialty/independent store. There are stores that sell new records and old records. New vinyl usually costs just as much or more than the cd, old vinyl is cheaper (or really cheap depending on how old it is). Hopefully there are stores like these around where you live.

Record players are pretty easy to find, you can look for an old used one in craigslist.org, pawn shops or search for record players in Amazon.com.
