1,000 milliseconds in 1 second.
Multiply seconds by 1,000 and put ms
after it.
Engineering notation increases (or in this case decreases) by a factor of 10^3. (10^-3)
10^-3 = milli
10^-6 = micro
10^-9 = nano
10^-12 = pico
10^-15 = femto
