The self defense move to testicles called "grab twist and pull" is effective?

Only if your (male, obviously) opponent is blind, drunk, sedated, or for some other reason lacks ordinary self-defense reflexes. Like a kick to the groin, the attack is broadly telegraphed and easily parried.

That being said, if executed, I imagine it would very effectively disable one's opponent.

well,maybe.but dont you think it's hard to grab those balls when the bad guy's wearing jeans?just hit 'em hard w/ your knees enough to make him go softy so you could run for help.

For self defense learning judo or something would be a good idea, stay away from tkd and karate though. The best thing is to keep pepper spray ready.

If it's that guy from Jersey who keeps asking if women have the courage to kick him one, I suspect this wouldn't be very effective (aside from being effective at making him grin and excited)

In your case I think your attacker should try, grab...twist...pull...and slice.

yeah. If you can find a guy that's passed out drunk. Otherwise, you're likely to get your faced bashed in while trying to get ahold of his nads.

"grab, twist, and pull"....i don't know. but if you grab a guys balls, and squeeze them as hard as you can, he is in so much pain that you can totally control him. i did this several times. so my advice is "grab and squeeze"....

In my college self defense class for women, the instructor taught us the Grab and Squeeze technique.

In a rape or life-threatening situation, you grab the testicles (only one is necessary), and as she instructed us in her own words - "you squeeze the life out of his balls."

This means you hold on while you continue squeezing and crushing with all your might until the guy is paralyzed, incapacitated, and/or unconscious.

Some women call this the NO-FAIL DEFENSE against rape and physical assault.

I would only employ this as a last resort and preferably with the element of surprise.

Men usually are very protective of their groin. It would be better to do an eye jab or a throat strike and follow up with a knee to the groin. If you try clawing at his face he will lean backwards and open himself up for a knee strike to the groin. Then run.

A groin grab would probably only be useful if the attacker grabs you and forces you to the ground.
