What do you do if your missing parts from something you bought at ikea?

I bought a desk from ikea the other day and found out that it was missing some parts.so what do I do? thanks for your time.

take it back to ikea and tell them that the parts wernt all ther... theyll probably exchange it for u

Most always, if you contact the manufacture, they will send you what you are missing.

Send back to IKEA.

They have no problem replacing you the missing parts.

I bought a dining room table at the one in Burbank CA. It was missing some of the table-leg fastening bolts. I brought it back and they just swapped it out for another unopened box (which did have all the parts). They don't stock spare hardware so they are glad to replace it.

Rich Z is not totally correct. They DO have spare parts in the back if you go to customer service.

In my case, the shelf I made was 80% finished before I found out I was missing a part. I didn't want to go through the hassle of taking it apart, loading it back onto my car, and lugging it back to the store. So I just took my receipt and the instructions (which has the code # for the part printed on it) and the store person got me my spare part. Be sure you tell them the part number (instead of a description) because the first person at ikea who helped me was a lazy-a-s-s and gave me the wrong part, so I had to go back. Luckily the second person actually took the time to help me.
