it sounds like baby acne, but if youre not sure (it is tiny red bumps) check with your pediatrician. the best thing to do is wipe baby's face with a warm wet wash cloth. no oils or creams. and dont bathe baby daily, 2 or 3 times a week is max b/c it will dry out baby's skin. keep baby in a cool area too, the heat can irritate baby's skin. dont worry, it will eventually go away!

Yes..it's common. I have a perfect picture of my daughter with baby acne ... if I knew a way to show it to you I would. She was adopted from another country and when they sent the photo to us I was STUNNED. The previous months photo was fine. By the time we went to her country to pick her up...only a month or so later, it was like she never had it! Ask you pediatrician but I think putting anything on it makes it worse.

it is baby acne, don't use any creams it should clear up on its own. It is due to the fact that they have immature oil glands. A clean wet rag should help. good luck to you.

Don't put any cream on it. It is just because of the left over hormones of the mother. Every baby gets baby acne and it goes away after a while. All you can do is wash her face with water and pat it dry. They also can have white bumps on their noses called milia. These are just clogged pores with good oil. It eventually goes away too.
My baby had acne all over her face and in her hair as well. She just has very dry skin so she got extra acne. Now that my baby is 5 months I've been needing to look for a face moisturizer because her face is SO DRY and she scratches her face. Does anyone know of a good baby face moisurizer or one that is ok to put on their faces? Do I need to wait till she's 6 months to put anything on her?

Also if my baby got hot or sweaty (usually while nursing) it would get redder and enflamed.

My daughter had baby acne from about 4 weeks old till 8 or 9 weeks old. It looked like a heat rash tiny bumps all over her face and neck. I was told by the doc that it was best when just washed with water and no cream etc used. It's a circulatory thing so will flair up when your baby is eating or crying. It is perfectly normal and disappears fully.

Hard as it is, just leave that stuff alone. It goes away, and comes back, and finally leaves all together.

Just wipe her face after each feed with water, use a little soap a few times a day as well. Infant acne goes away really quickly if you just keep the skin clean, it is mostly caused but milk and sweat.

You could also use diluted grapefruit seed extract if it is really bad.

First off just bring him to the doctor and ask them if that is what it is. It could be an irritation from the laundry detergent or baby wash. My son gets baby acne once and awhile. It goes away on its own.
