Ahhh, the joy of being an 11month old Golden Retreiver!!! I'm surprised he's not flying!!!!

Well, if you've both been obedience trained and he really knows how to heel, sit, come, stay and down, then you can simply put him on stays for a couple minutes several times a day and within a few weeks he will be ever so much less bouncy. Goldies are soooo willing to please they will wiggle themselves into any position possible to get your affection, and that is all the treat you need.

Just try not to react when the jumping occurs.

And don't ever encourage it.

If company comes, put the leash on a couple minutes ahead of time and heel and sit the dog for a bit and a couple of quick stays, and then when the doorbell rings, either put him in the bedroom until you welcome your guests, then heel him into the room on the leash to greet them, or put him on a sit/stay with you and open the door to greet your company (this only after rehearsal in a set-up situation where some friends pretend they are company and ring your doorbell and you answer the door, etc. as a training session).

You asked for positive reinforcement.
Your voice of praise and petting and loving the dog physically by a confident pat (don't get all excited, the dog will cue off your tone so say it lovingly but CALMLY IN A LOWER TONE OF VOICE) are all the dog needs. Gentle repetition and consistency will work wonders in a short period of time.

Best of luck :)

Ignore him, turn away when he tries to jump. This is hard, but it will work. Don't scold, just by body language alone he will know. Good luck. Golden retr are really sweet

Jumping on you? A knee to the chest is the best way. It doesn't hurt the dog, just deters it, dogs are not like kids, you don't have to be all about "sitting the dog in time out" You are the Alpha dog in the pack, and you have to be stern with them some times. They understand positive reinforment as well... but something that they are doing obhters you, tou have to be the Alpha and discourage the behavior just like wolves did in the wild. When a dog jumps up on you, raise up your knee so the dog will fall agaist your knee, it's uncomfortable for them... consistancy is key... it works great on all dogs.

Ah i have a golden myself, he barely jumps now.
Basically, just ignore him. Turn around and walk away, dont even pay any attention. If you are consistant with this your golden will learn that jumping is no way of getting attention.
I promise you this will work if you and your family and everyone else who comes to your place sticks by it. Dont scream "no" or push him off or spray him with a bottle.. just walk away, dont even look at him, you dont approve of this.
Give him a pat when he goes and sits down and stops bothering everyone. He'll soon learn what's right from wrong by how you're allocating your attention.
This ignoring goes for everything else you dont approve of in terms of attention seeking.
You'll get a world of different opinions here. Choose which one fits you best.
    Good Luck

Ignore him. Turn your back in his face. As soon as he puts all 4 paws back on the ground, turn back around, click (if you're using a clicker), treat him, and praise him like crazy.
