My Cleaning Lady Moves Stuff!?

Question

I know, I shouldn't complain cuz I have a cleaning lady. It drives me nuts because she does an awesome job except she moves my stuff, like she totally re-arranges the kids' bedrooms or the living room. She also moves my small stuff (clutter) and then I can't find things. I already tried saying, yeah, I kinda always like things in the same place but she didn't get the hint.
I can see where my clutter (small items, papers, etc) gets in the way of her cleaning but I don't see the need to move my furniture. I let her re-arrange my daughter's room since it wasn't a big deal but I had to un-do her arrangement of my son's room because she put his bed against the wall that shares with the bathroom wall, so the potty flushing would be in his ear when he sleeps. So I tried to let her have her way one time.

The thing is I don't wanna make her mad and lose her because she watches my kids, she's fantastic with the kids and they love her. I really like her and she's a great dependable person.

She probably genuinely thinks she is helping you out. Just let her know that you appreciate all her effort, but you have certain ways you like to arrange your things.. Then, explain to her the things you'd like for her to do (ie, dusting, etc)...so that the job duties are clear. If you're nice about it, i'm sure she will understand .... and after all, it's less work for her to have to do anyway. =)

Just tell her just like you told us here. I'm sure she will understand and not get mad. It will mean less work for her. Just tell her to dust around your little clutter & please don't move the furniture.:)

It just takes a little longer with adults.

Just say " You do an amazing job and you're fantastic but could you leave the rooms the way i had it set up? It would just make both of our jobs easier and we can have more free time"

well tell her u want ur papers put in a tray or in a neat stack where u can find them and tell her that u dont want his bed on that wall because the potty keeps him awake
