Can you name an instance in which a FEMINIST was sexist against WOMEN?

I'm thinking Camille Paglia myself--she said women were notorious teases in one of her essays. Can you think of any other examples?

Additional Details

i ask this question not because i believe very many feminists are actually sexist against women but because the few that i think are--paglia and such--seem to have an agenda AGAINST women and i wonder why that is.

Laura Doyle, a self-proclaimed feminist who encouraged women to "surrender" to their husbands and boyfriends and called marital equality a "myth." (She really isn't a feminist. Read her books and you can totally tell.)

EDIT: Betty Friedan was referring to housewives who wanted to be something else, not to housewives who wanted to be housewives.

Well, feminists who belittle housewives could be considered sexist, I suppose.

That's not really being against women. That is like at a job interview when they ask you to say one bad things about yourself and you say, "I'm really honest."

Um, Betty Friedan? As in, calling some of us "less than fully human"? Simone De Beauvoir - "marriage is a form of prostitution" insults married gals... Gloria Steinem said that wives are "chattel". Gee, how nice.

Sexism is assuming that women, or some women, are automatically not qualified to make decisions for themselves. It is assuming that some women need help to make those decisions, or to vote, or to do any other thing that men take for granted. It is assuming that a person is "less than" because of gender or gender roles. Calling a woman a tease may be offensive, but it does not neccessarily encompass sexism. (In my definition, anyhow. You are welcome to have a different one.)

I don't really consider that a sexist remark. Just because you might not like what she said doesn't make it untrue first of all (I happen to agree with her) and secondly, there is nothing discriminatory about that remark. Its an opinion, an opinion you clearly disagree with, but its not sexist. Thats my opinion anyway.

But I do agree that feminists of the who teach that women who choose to follow more 'traditional roles' such as homemakers and mothers are somehow 'less' or 'brainwashed' or 'stupid' is sexist, counterproductive to the cause, and just plain wrong. Thats also just my opinion.

That Anne Coutler chick. I hate her. She seems to think she's all about women's rights and that she's the future. She makes me SOOOOOOO mad! She's everything a woman shouldn't be.

who even listens except card carrying feminists? Don't ya think it's time to stop standing around and saying I am woman hear me roar?? Ya know I will always classify all people as being equal, except the ones screaming for equality. If you were really equal you wouldn't have to make fools of yourselves and demand equality. People earn equality, they don't demand it.. The only ones demanding it are the ones who are unable to earn it on their merits.

When the feminist movement really gained strength in the 60s tens of thousands of housewives were swept up in it and divorced and as a result spent their later years miserably alone.

Movements are wrong when they sweep as many people as they can to look good. peoples lives are to personal to agree with that whether it's the fems or the dems.

All you have shown me is that you are not capable of understanding the subtleties of Camille Paglia. She is courageous enough to point out the more incoherent and scientifically barren concepts that hang like an albatross around feminism's neck.

When feminists reject logic as a masculine mindset this implies that women are inherently illogical. That's pretty sexist, and much more damaging than saying that women are teases.

Of more importance are the damaging lies that misandric feminists say about men ('all men are rapists' etc). In the long run this damages us all e.g. destruction of family unit.

    Edit
'All men are rapists' is an example of a statement that is logically flawed. Perhaps feminists said this to prove their point about women and logic? ; )

I think an essential part of feminism is acknowledging women tend to be sexist against women. I mean dworkin is quite ... aggressive in saying that all sex is rape etc. but I don't deem anything said to be overtly sexist against women. Women tend to be sexist in that they put expectations on themselves and other women around them.

I think the question here is what is sexist? i mean there are gender roles, gender stereotypes and then there is overt domination of women and objectification of women, then there is misogyny... which is more frequent i believe. Sexism tends to be more discrimination... preventing women from doing something or saying they are less or unable to do things. ah thank god for billy jean king she showed em all. anyway... none of that made sense.

Yes look at how NOW and all the other feminist walked away from the female sex victims perpetrated by Bill Clinton.
Look at how feminism never apologized to Linda Tripp after trashing her, because she brought up Monica Lewisky. A powerful man using his position over an intern.

Kathleen Wiley- she was ridiculed by feminist after Clinton groped her right after her husbands death. Yes she lost her job when she stated no.

Juanita Broaddrick who accused Clinton of rape was never supported by the feminist movement.

So you see feminism is truly a political movement who's support is based on the offenders politics.

Yeah, on this forum anti-feminist women are referred to as "Wienie Worshipers"; for those of whom are tired of having the term thrown in their faces; it would've been wiser to have never brought up the term in the first place; get a clue.
