How do I get rid of the smell of Garlic in my house?
I live in a trailer, and recently used fresh garlic to flavor a turkey. Anyway, my kitchen is in the middle of my home. So the smell of Garlic is everywhere! I've opened all the windows, used lysol on my counter tops, moped my floors with extra pine sol, even tried some febreeze. Nothing seems to help. It's driving me crazy! Any help would be great!
Go to a store that sells candy making supplies...some drug stores also may carry this... and buy several bottles of candy oil in a flavor you enjoy - like lemon or cinnamon or vanilla. Take a cotton swab, dip it in the oil and smear a little on the light bulbs in your home. Do this while the bulbs are cold. Every time you turn on the lights the place will be infused with that scent and the garlic smell will go away. It may take a few days if your place is really reeky but it is safe, cheap and effective.

Old realtors' trick for making a house smell like a home.
im kinda surprised no one mentioned Coffee! you could brew a really strong pot of coffee, or put some coffee beans in little cups around your house.. that is if you like the smell of coffee.. but even if its not your favorite scent.. its still better than garlic
You could put about two cup of baking soda in a bowl and let it sit on the counter for a month. You can also get a spray bottle and fill it with 2/3 clear distilled vinegar and 1/3 water then spray everything and leave it.
Ooo. The smell of garlic is stubborn and is pretty hard to remove.
I suggest using a famous house freshner. It's cheap and it doesn't cover bad odours, it stamps them out! "OUST!". It's trusted because it's manufactured by SC Johnson.
