Hi there!

First, I'm not too sure where you're coming from because when you said Pharmaceutical career, do you mean:

* Working as Pharmacist
* Working as Pharmaceutical Sales Rep
* Others...

Because you see, different jobs require different 'Math' skills. For example, if you just want to join Pharmaceutical selling (my previous job by the way) the kind of calculation you need to do basically involves:

- Calculating your target and actual sales which could easily be done using Excell spreadsheet (usually in monetary unit and percentage)
- Some statistical Analysis (your Product Manager can help you with this) to facilitate data presentation to customers
- Calculating your sales incentives ;-)

And of course, the FIRST two calculation are the 'hardest' in nature but the last calculation makes it all worth it.

So, in short you only need to know your plus, minus symbols, recognize the appropriate Excell function to execute them (start learning them now), and bring a calculator along while working on the field...if you're talking about Pharmaceutical Sales career.

Hope this explain.
