Can I take 4 Advil with 1 - 5 mg Ativan?

Question

I'm having a prodedure done today and I'm feeling a bit worried. So I'm going to take an Ativan; however I've been told it can be pretty painful, so I want to take some Advil to mask the pain b/c I can't handle much pain.

Will this be okay?

When I was in an accident my orthopedic Surgeon instructed me to take 4 - 6 Advil at a time - So I know what you say is wrong.

Also - The Ativan is more for anxiety not for pain so how would that be enough?

Wow - didn't mean to OFFEND YOU just sharing my personal experience with you. I wanted to know if I could mix the 2 meds I didn't ask if I could take 4 advil or not....THAT I KNOW I can do.

no that's too much, you shouldn't need anything with the ativan and the biggest dose of Advil recommended is only 2 pills

relax, sounds more like you need to twist up a fat one.. forget the pills and after the procedure get a tattoo..

wow after reading your edits, maybe you do need a few pills to calm down, after all you can do rehab later
