How can my daughter be allergic to applejuice but not apples?

She can have applesauce, apple crisp, any juice that has apple in it EXCEPT apple juice. How can that be?

The citric acid is more concentrated in the juice.

That is weird but when I was pregnant I loved anything with apples but not applesauce could not eat it!!!

She may be allergic to a preservative. I take care of a boy allergic to pectin which is a preservative in many things like Jelly, apple juice, pear juice etc. Check and see what preservatives are in apple juice and not in a juice she drinks.

Apple juice, unlike all other products you described, is made from concentrate..If she really loves apple juice that much, go get a juicer and make it yourself, then she should be fine.

the juice is more concentrated and also most apple juice has other juice like white grape added to it..so maybe the allergy is due to whatever else is mixed with the apple juice..I can eat oranges, but not orange juice..

it could be that she is allergic to uncooked apples. Some of the allergen may be cooked out of applesauce and crisps.
