Will Fräulein Clinton send her PINK shirts to take things away from us on behalf of the common good?

"Many of you are well enough off that [President Bush's] tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to have to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

(Hillary at a fund raising speech in San Francisco; SFGate.com 6/28/2004.)

Maybe she read Toland;

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler

(Speech of May 1, 1927. Quoted by Toland, 1976, p. 306)

Thanks for the scoops.

If Hillary is so concerned about the "far right conspiracy " hounding her for years she should keep her right foot out of her mouth.

Common good = power for her! That's all it amounts to. The sheeples are convinced that she cares.

You're overdue for a 'visit'. Stop by for a chuckle!

    and what about this?
    From Clinton's March 3, 1996, interview on C-SPAN's Booknotes:

BRIAN LAMB (host): There's a quote here. I want to ask you if you agree with this. This is from Alan Ehrenhalt, author of "The Lost City" -- you put it in your book. "The unfettered free market has been the most radically disruptive force in American life in the last generation."

CLINTON: I believe that. That's why I put it in the book. I think if you look at the argument we've had in our political life in the last several years, it's been a false debate. We've pitted the government against everything else. Well, I don't believe the government has had as big an impact as commercial television, as a lot of the decisions made in the marketplace about how we're going to pay and compensate people, about downsizing corporations and making workers more insecure. And I just believe that there's got to be a healthy tension among all of our institutions in society, and that the market is the driving force behind our prosperity, our freedom in so many respects to make our lives our own but that it cannot be permitted just to run roughshod over people's lives as well.

    Hillarious...

This administration passed the Patriot act...which is has stripped americans of rights just as the Richstag act...

Reichstag Fire was used to pass it...just as 9/11 was used to pass the patriot act.

We send "terrorists" to prisons in guantanamo bay... camps where american laws don't exist.

They have waged an illegal war without international concent.

The nazis began to call Germany, the Fatherland...
The republicans have began to call America the Homeland.

If anyone is like Hitler is Bush...

Someone will have to come by and take a little more from ALL of us eventually to pay for the record national debt that YOUR cowboy-shirted Yokel has piled on the common man while opting to cut his rich friends clear of it all !!!

AND, to equate someone saying that people are going to have to give up tax breaks in order to PAY THEIR DEBTS is nowhere akin to a socialist statement --- it is simply realistic and about as American as one can get --- Fiscal Responsibility --- and financial burdens shared by all !!!!

In closing -- if you are looking for good examples to use for your propensity toward the Nazi references --- look no farther than der fuhrer you have sitting in the Oval Office at the present time !!

    Who said this?

    (1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

    (2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few, and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."

    (3) "(We) can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

    (4) "We have to build a political consensus, and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."

    (5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."

    (6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy - that they are being watched."

Now you might think these were the famous words of the Father of communism, Karl Marx.

And you would be on the right track in thinking so.

    But you would be wrong.

These pearls of socialist/Marxist wisdom are from non other than our very own, home-grown Marxist. . . Madam Hillary Clinton.
