Does lisinopril 10mg and lovastatin 20mg gives you leg cramp at night.?

Well I just started taken these medication about 3 days ago and i started to have leg cramp on the 3rd day. I don't know if this is normal i used to have leg cramp a long time ago and it stop by muscle relax medication. But i don't want to be taken so much medication because then i will stop taken my bp medication and cholestrol to which both are extreme high enough for me to get a stroke. I just need to know if this is normal or what i could do i already taken so measurement on my cholestrol trying to low it down but my bp i stop salt intake until i could figure out what is going on.
Helpless confusing please someone help me but no stupid answer some sense answer will help me through this difficult time thank you.

Contact your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common (1% to 10%)


* dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
* skin rash, with or without itching, fever, or joint pain

Rare (less than 1%)
* abdominal pain, abdominal distention, fever, nausea, or vomiting
* chest pain
* muscle cramps READ HERE
* back, leg, or shoulder pain
* tingling or burning sensation
* depression
* vertigo
* blurred vision
* flushing

Lisinopril may cause electrolyte imbalances that can cause cramps. Real problem is, the heart is a muscle that relies heavily on electrolytes and salts to work, so call your doctor ASAP.

If you are taking those drugs, you're probably taking a diuretic as well. That's most likely what's causing the leg cramps.

Diuretics do a great job of removing excess sodium and the water it retains, but they also leach potassium.

Eat more bananas and leafy veggies. Or ask you're doctor about potassium supplements.

The extra fiber will probably help lower the cholesterol.

If you have muscle pain, it may be rare but serious (!) side effect of lovastatin. I would contact your doctor as soon as possible to evaluate you and make some lab tests! It may be myalgia and/or rhabdomyolysis, but on the other hand it can be just simple leg cramps - only your doctor can tell you. In addition, you shouldn't discontionue your meds on your own - again, talk to your doctor.
