You forgot to put Bill Russell on the list.

He facilitated old Boston's fast break plays through his blocking and just his mere presence. That led to six championship rings in his hands. And him being a legacy in the NBA.

So I'll call it the Bill Russell Defensive Award. =)

Well i would have to go with Pippen coz according to me defense with some offense is always better then only defense like Rodman but Pippen not only defended amazingly but countered and scored at will so he makes a perfect defense.

Either Dikembe Mutombo, Bill Russel or a lot of people forgot or don't know was Michael Jordan was like amazing defender, so for me it would be on of them.

I don't care who you pick as Defensive Player of the Year is. But when it come to playoff time I'd pick Tim Duncan. He got a lot of blocks in playoff games, twice as his average (2.4). He is a beast on defensive end in playoff.
