Flumax is an antibiotic and avadart is a prescription drug used to shrink prostrate cancer. Its ok to take together according to your doctors prescription. However all drugs have side effects if taken for too long a duration. Always consult your doctor.

Asker's Comment:
My question was misunderstood, I wasn't asking about Flumax, I wanted to know if FLOMAX and AVADART could be taken together without any serious consquences.
There is a difference between Flumas &Flomax
FLU OF FLO ..U OR O...ITS STILL AN ANTIBIOTIC.

* Flomax IS NOT an antibiotic! It is used for prostate cancer. It is used to relax the muscles of the bladder and surrounding area! This helps with pain while urinating.* Avodart is also used for prostate cancer. * There is NO problems with taking them together.

FLOMAX (Brand Name) Basic drug Tamsulosin. Tamsulosin is alpha-adrenergic blockers. Tamsulosin causes the blood vessels (veins and arteries) to relax and expand, so that blood passes through them more easily. This effect relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Tamsulosin is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). and

AVODART (Brand name) of Basic Drug Dutasteride, which prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is involved in the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dutasteride is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.

Both are prescribed for different purposes though connected to prostrate. It can be given as advised by your Physicion. -
