Will taking ibuprofen pills along with Vicodin be like simply taking Vicoprofen?

I was prescribed Vicoprofen (hydrocodone and ibuprofen) after I got my wisdom teeth pulled, and that worked good. But afterwards I had some troubles and ended up with horribly terrible dry sockets, and was prescribed "regular " Vicodin (10/650). However, it seems after taking Vicoprofen, the Vicodin doesnt have nearly as strong as effects, and more are needed. Since I don'g want to take a ridiculous amount, however, and dont have alot to waste, I was wondering if taking ibuprofen pills along with the Vicodin would be like having Vicoprofen again? Or is that too much acemitophen and ibuprofen?

You can take acetaminophen and ibuprofen together. Your effects will be the same as your vicoprofen. Do not take ibuprofen with vicoprofen. The regular vicodin you were prescribed has 10 mg. of hydrocodone and 650 mg. of acetaminophen. You can take up to 800 mg. of ibuprofen (4 200 mg. tablets) in addition to the vicodin. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Good Luck with those dry sockets. They are so painful.
