What are the modifications required for running diesel engine on CNG ?

Do we require any major engine modifications for using CNG in place of Diesel , or its simple as installing an LPG kit for petrol engines to run on LPG .

Can somebody tell , what alterations were made to convert Delhi Diesel vehicles , buses etc to run on CNG ?

Diesel engines have no spark plugs (and no ignition system). Gasoline engines have spark plugs (and ignition systems).

So besides installing ignition system, you would have to find a way to install spark plugs. Installing a ignition system would be somewhat easy compared to installing spark plugs.

CNG can be run in a diesel vehicle.
